PenMentor is a transformative 6-month mentoring programme designed to empower women entrepreneurs in Penang by pairing them with experienced mentors. With tailored guidance and customised modules, the programme equips participants with the skills and knowledge to succeed in their entrepreneurial journey.
About the Programme
Formerly known as the Penang Women Entrepreneur Mentoring Programme (PWEMP), PenMentor reflects our commitment to nurturing women entrepreneurs in Penang. By creating a collaborative environment between experienced mentors and emerging businesswomen, the programme promotes growth, innovation, and resilience in the business community.

How PenMentor Works
Mentor-Mentee Pairing
New women entrepreneurs are carefully matched with seasoned mentors who bring expertise and insights to their entrepreneurial journey.
6-Month Programme
Over the course of six months, mentees receive hands-on mentoring, attend workshops, and engage in networking opportunities to enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
Customised Modules
Participants are provided with specialised training tailored to their economic categories:
- B40 (low-income group): Modules designed to help entrepreneurs start and sustain small businesses.
- M40/T20 (middle and high-income groups): Advanced modules focusing on scaling businesses and exploring innovative strategies.
Who Can Apply?
PenMentor is open to:
- Aspiring or new women entrepreneurs based in Penang.
- Women from the B40, M40, or T20 economic categories who are passionate about starting or growing their businesses.
